The movie: Twelve ‘Clock High (1949) tells the story of that bomb group. Gregory Peck stars as the new commander who takes over a struggling bombing squad and turns fortunes round. Another highlight of their bravery was all of the missions they flew in daylight. Movie was nominated for Best Picture and Best Actor (Peck). It won Oscars® for Best Supporting Actor (Dean Jagger) and Best Sound. This movie was certainly one of my father’s all-time favorite motion pictures and a movie that I watch every year or two.
Going in Style is that almost all irksome, instantly forgettable of films — a remake that fails to make the case for not leaving well sufficient alone. It also fails to supply its solid material worthy of its talent, or to add anything remotely new to a cinematic form that way back acquired old. all nice massive (er than life) POW movies. Bill Holden was the best of actors. He might play lead man in ANY ole POW film!
One thing I will say. my penchant for not watching latest (since I was born) movies doesn’t extend to international language movies be they my very own nation of Canada or across the seas. I’ve seen several Oscar nominated movies in the last decade, for instance. Love this site!at all times great to get good motion pictures and TV exhibits nowadays. As for the films….humorous line about Sound of Music…..the Great Escape is one among my favorite of all-time…..but I actually have never been a lot of a fan of Battle of Britain….although Steve Lensman has informed me numerous times that I am mistaken in that regard….so that makes two folks that I respect their movie opinion of…discuss so extremely of Battle of Britain.
